Bella Madonna

Check out the "Which Celebrity is Your Pet?" quiz over at Dogster:

What celebrity would your pet be? I'm Madonna! Find out at Dogster.com

Turns out, I'm most like Madonna! I'm not sure I agree with all the descriptions, but I highlighted my favorite parts:

"Come on, let's just face it: We are living in a material world, and Bella is a material girl. So go ahead and thank your lucky stars—Bella is the one and only Madonna! Always desperately seeking attention, Bella is multi-talented and savvy, not afraid to get her paws dirty and experiment with new methods of getting into the groove in order to reach her peeps. She commands respect everywhere she goes, a sophisticated traveler who insists upon the best—and more often than not, she gets what she wants. Appearance is everything for your true-blue diva and while her look may change as often as the Pellegrino in her water bowl does, her commitment to exercise is unwavering. Bella's in tip-top shape, which makes her age in pet years a non-issue. Despite the hard fur and the no-nonsense approach, she's a softy when it comes to her devoted owner. It's fair to say that Bella is, yes, crazy for you."

Now, I just wish that I had Madonna's paycheck, too!!

Pet Pride

Pride_pet_parade One of the super cool things about living in Portland is its diversity and tolerance. There's even a bumper sticker that says "Keep Portland Weird." I mean, where else can a Boxer sit in a cafe with her laptop and take advantage of free WiFi to update her blog? Or join her Mom & Dad for a gourmet breakfast at the dog-friendly Tin Shed Cafe (which even has its own dog menu)? So it's no surprise that Portland has one of the biggest Pride festivals in the country. But this year, things got even better...they held a Pride Pet Parade! I wasn't an official contestant but that didn't stop Mom, Dad and me from heading down to the waterfront to catch the action. There were some really adorable participants and plenty of fun giveaways. The grand prize went to a stylish Weimaraner wearing a pink poodle skirt. But, off the record, I think I could've been a contender. Perhaps it was the pink feather boa around my neck or my self-confident swagger, but I got lots and lots - and I mean LOTS - of attention. It was a ton of fun and I'm going to start working on my costume for next year.

Go Pride! xoxo - Bella

Celebrity Look-Alikes

My friends Lola, Penny and Sherman tagged me and asked me to describe which celebrity I looked like. I asked my Mom and Dad for their opinions, but instead of answering me they just went on and on about what celebrities they looked like. For example, several people have mistaken my Mom for Sigourney Weaver (with hair...not when she shaved her head for the Alien movies). My Dad, on the other hand, likes to tell the story of being mistaken for JFK Jr. in Japan (yeah right, if JFK Jr. were six-feet-six-inches and had red hair!!).

Joker_blog OK, since they weren't any help, I decided to go back to my blog's archives and pick out this picture of me alongside Jack Nicholson (acting as the Joker in Batman). I think the resemblance is rather frightening, don't you?

Which celebrity do YOU look like?
