I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside today! My very first Valentine's card came from Powder-Puff. It arrived in a big envelope and was in the shape of a pretty pink heart:
I also got some PAWSOME e-cards from Moco & Grammie and Mack Beans (who is trying very hard to woo the lovely Ruby Blue. Good Luck, Mack!).
My human cousins Taylor and Brandon, who live far away in New Yawk, sent me some sweet Valentine's presents--including some excellent snackies in the shape of animals and some biodegradable poop bags (ok, ok, the bags aren't really romantical but they sure are practical. My Mom was very excited by them). Here's a photo:
Lastly, the mailman came to the door this afternoon and brought a stack of cards! I got love notes from The Brat Pack, The Zoo Crew, Crikit, Sparky & Ginger, Butchy & Snickers, and Randi the Lab Newf. Plus, I heard from my super-sexy boyfriend Kaiser that his card is on the way, too! Check it out:
Wow, I feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the world!
Happy Valentine's Day, Everydoggie!

I want to know, "what's up with Google?" Type in "Boxer Valentine" and all you get are pictures of cheesy boxer shorts! I'm dumping their stock, obviously their search engine gurus don't know anything about real Boxer Valentines.

PS: Send me your snail mail address and I'll send you a proper, slobbery Valentines card!
Check out the card from my friend Ruby, who has one of the coolest blogs ever:
Thanks, Ruby...you always make me smile.

Thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy barkday yesterday! I'm now officially two years old, which I guess in dog years makes me a teenager. Mom & Dad made sure that I had an extra special day yesterday. First, we bundled up and took a long walk in the morning, stopping to play at a nearby park before warming up with some beverages at a nearby Starbucks. Mom even let me have a little lick of her eggnog latte, yum! I like going there because they have a big outside patio and all sorts of people stop to pet me. I made a point of telling everyone it was my barkday and I got even more attention than usual.
Later that evening, I got to open all my presents. First, my Aunt Anita and my cousins Taylor & Brandon in New York sent me bacon flavored snackies!! Yippee!! They also sent me a very nice barkday card and said that they donated $50 in my name to their local animal shelter. That brought a tear to my Mom's eye. Next, I got to open my other package, which was from Mom & Dad. It was a squeaky duck!! Yippee!! But best of all, at midnight, there were a ton of colorful fireworks in honor of my barkday....can you believe it? I still don't know how Mom & Dad convinced the City of Portland to throw such a big fireworks display for me, but it was even better than the Fourth of July show.
Here's wishing everyone a very happy & healthy 2008!

M*E*R*R*Y C*H*R*I*S*T*M*A*S!!!
Oh man, I'm so excited...Santa Paws was here and most of the presents under the tree were for me!! My Mom and Dad opened all their presents last night, on Christmas Eve, but they made me save some of my presents for this morning...they were afraid I was going to hyperventilate if I opened them all at once!
Look! Pretty wrapping paper!
A rope toy from my cousins Brandon & Taylor and a new ball from my Grandma Laura!
A new blankie from my Grandma in New York and a stuffed monkey from Dad!
There were lots of other fun toys and treats, too. But today, on the last day of my Christmas countdown, I'm thankful to all my family and friends for making me the luckiest dog on the planet. Best wishes to everyone!

Today, I'm grateful for Mama's Pajamas! They soft, fuzzy and warm and I like to snuggle in her lap whenever she has a day off and doesn't have to change into her business clothes. This is a picture from this morning, when we sat in the living room admiring our Christmas tree:
This is a picture from last Thanksgiving, when I was still a puppy:
I sure hope Santa brings my Mama some more pajamas (the warm, fleecy kind, por favor!)

My Mom is afraid that everyone will get the wrong idea about me, but on day #3 of my Christmas countdown I'd like to express gratitude for my personalized, porcelain water bowl. The bowl was a present from my parents' friends, who ordered it especially for me! Apparently, I impressed them as being a bit of a diva. But it's really very pretty and practical, too. Now I will only drink water out of my porcelain bowl, unless Mom forgets to fill it up (and then I have to settle for the crappy plastic bowl from IKEA, the nerve!). I guess my question is, why do humans save the good stuff for special occasions only? I think that every day is a holiday and it's OK to bring out your good china, your crystal wine goblets....or your porcelain water bowl. Go crazy!!

Today I want to say "thanks!" to my good friends at Green Dog Pet Supply, a neighborhood shop that has tons of environmentally friendly pet supplies for dogs, cats and their people. My Mom has been taking me there since I was just a few weeks old, and owners Christine & Mike are always giving me yummy treats when I come to visit! They think I'm cute and I think they're pretty cool, too. For the last two years, I marched along with the Green Dog contingent during our annual neighborhood parade...if you look on their website, you'll see my pictures. It was a lot of fun. Best of all, Green Dog will be open on Dec. 24 so it's not too late for my Mom & Dad to pick up some last-minute pressies for me--hint! hint! I tell all of my Portland friends to shop there because it's so great. Merry Christmas, Green Dog!
